Zombies are bad actors

I've always been of the opinion that zombies are just really bad at acting. I've put my feelings into words with the following two poems. The titles of the poems match the title of this post.

A haiku:

i don't understand
how zombies are bad actors
when they have no lines

A limerick:

There once was an actor named Ed
Whose role was a zombie named Jed.
He was never on time,
Couldn't deliver a line,
And so he was shot in the head.

A warm day in January

Having 80 degree (Fahrenheit) weather in January is completely abnormal to me, but I won't complain. One of the weather websites claims that it will be nearly 80 until Wednesday and then it will be in the lower 70s. I'm used to much much colder weather. Since it was so warm and lovely out, we decided to go to the beach. The water was sort of cold and it took a while for me to get used to the coldness so I could walk in it. (There is no point in walking on a beach if you aren't walking in the water.) We walked for about an hour. It was nice.

If you were wondering, the view looking away from the ocean was this:

The view looking towards the ocean was this:

The view looking ahead was, at one point, this:
When the dog realized we were behind him, he ran up to us to say hi. He then walked next to us for a while. He was very happy to be on the beach and kept running into the water. I might take Lucky to the beach one day, but I'm not sure how he'd like it.

The sand had many tiny holes in it and I don't know why they were there. If anyone knows, please tell me

There were many birds which I think are some sort of sandpiper. I really don't know what they are, but they are very amusing.

.At one point there were many of them grouped together.

Then a wave came in and they ran away.
Not long after, they flew away.

So that was part of my day today and I suppose the highlight of my week.

Something that I like about Charleston is that the sunsets are usually very pretty. The prettiness unfortunately doesn't last long before it gets dark.
